Majority In Mississippi: Check This Out!

Majority in Mississippi is a great political blog that covers political, with a focus on politics inside Mississippi.  I’m not a resident of MS, though I do have family in various areas of the state.  As a non-resident, I check Majority in MS often to get the latest on politics in the state.  Additionally, the author of the blog also writes a sports-themed branch of Majority in Mississippi called Majority Sports.  This blog is definitely a great read.  Be sure to check this out today!

EnergyFLA.com: Check This Out!

If you missed my earlier post discussing what exactly EnergyFLA is, click here.

Featured Blog Winners!

EnergyFLA.com is the headquarters for information about the prospects of offshore drilling in Florida.  The site features an e-mail newsletter than fans of the project can easily sign up for and keep up-to-date with news straight from the core of EnergyFLA.  The site also featuers links for contacting the governor and legislature in Florida so you can let them know that you stand in firm support of the project.

Also very useful is the multi-media under the “Resources” tab.  This page features videos and interactive content that further explain the groups goals for offshore drilling in Florida.  If all this isn’t enough to convince you support the project, just head back to the homepage and look at the “Missed Economic Opportunity” bar where you can see possible funds for the state of Florida ticking away.

To visit EnergyFLA.com, click here.

Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com: Check This Out!

Featured Blog Winners!

Andrew Breitbart opened up his latest venture, BigGovernment.com, by releasing the tapes of the ACORN controversy stright to the site.  A pretty good way to make an entrance, huh?

BigGovernment.com has since been the hub for news on the ACORN scandal, causing the site to explode onto the blogosphere.  The site features about 10 contributors as of now, and seems to me like it will be more conservative version of the Huffington Post, which was also primarily created by Andrew Breitbart.  Contributors included: Creator Andrew Breitbart, Editor in Chief Mike Flynn, the “prostitute” in the ACORN videos Hannah Giles, Townhall.com contributor Ken Blackwell, DC attorney and journalist Ken Klukowski, President and CEO of FreedomWorks Matt Kibbe, radio show host Dana Loesch, chairmen of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Health Care Council Doug O’Brien, and the “pimp” in the ACORN videos James O’Keefe.  Quite a group, wouldn’t you say?

BigGovernment.com is the go to place to get the latest on the ACORN scandal and other news.  Check it Out today!

Increase Blog Traffic With Blogsurfer: Check This out!

Featured Blog Winners!

I’ve been talking about Alpha Inventions and all of the great help it’s been in furthering my site for nearly a year now.  While I’ve been praising and using Alpha Inventions nearly I every day, I’ve also been using a smaller blogging utility called Blogsurfer.us, formerly known as Condron.us.

Blogsurfer.us allows you to submit your blog into a continuous shuffle of blogs, leading to an increase in traffic.  While the traffic numbers don’t really rival those of Alpha Inventions, Blogsurfer.us has its benefits.  For starters, Blogsurfer is extremely stable and has a very precise feel.  Blogsurfer displays a timer in the top left corner that displays how many more seconds until the next blog will appear.  This is extremely useful in assuring yourself that you have enough time to bookmark blogs you are interesting.  Also unique to Blogsurfer is a forum for users to interact and exchange blog URLs.  Submitting your blog to the rotation is also extremely easy; you simply press “Add Blog” and type in your URL, e-mail, and category.  I can usually pull out about 10 unique visitors per submission, wihch is definitely worth the 5 seconds it takes to enter the blog information.  Be sure and check out Blogsurfer.us today!

The Conservative Republican Standard: Check This Out!

Featured Blog Winners!

The blogging tool that I can’t quit talking, Alpha Inventions, is not only good for boosting your readership.  It can also introduce you to a plethora (Word of the Day) of blogs organized by subject matter.  So when I was submitting my site to the cycle earlier, I decided to take some time to flip through the blogs.  One blog I discovered is The Conservative Republican Standard written by Jerry Hosey.

According to Jerry’s “About” page, he’s currently in college getting his degree in Political Science degree at Florida State University.  The blog, though mostly about conservative politics (WOO!), covers a variety of topics.  Jerry runs several blog mini-series ranging from “The Congressional File” and “Flashback” (Similar to “This Day in History” on TCJ) to series about FSU sports and news.  The Conservative Republican Standard is updated often, so you can usually expect to go back and find something new.  I definitely recommend you “Check This Out!”

Alpha Inventions: (Re)Check This Out!

Featured Blog Winners! One of the very first “Check This Outs” I awarded was to AlphaInventions.com, the increasingly popular advertisement utility for blogs all across the interwebs.  I owe Alpha Inventions and its creators a lot of credit for helping The Conservative Journal get off the ground and keep from falling off the face of the blogosphere during my leaves of absence.  To express my gratitude I decided I would award them an unprescedented SECOND “Check This Out” Award!  Be sure and check out Alpha Inventions and submit your blog to the reading cycle, allowing thousands more eye balls to grace your fine work!

PolitiPoll Site Rankings: Check This Out!

Featured Blog Winners! With the abundance of website ranking resources on the internet these days, it’s hard to decide which ones to join.  Each time I see one of these sites, I join and see how I rank compared with the other members.  While many of these sites are nearly identical, I’ve found a new one that has several features that put it at the front of the pack.  PolitiPoll.com, formerly known as PolitiPoll.net, is an up-and-coming political web site ranking service that goes beyond the typical site ranker.  In addition to ranking websites based on daily unique visitor averages, PolitiPoll.com gives its users an opportunity to acquire a free ad on the pixel ad page, join the banner exchange, and place a useful hit counter on your very own website.  The pixel page opens your site up to potentially thousands of visitors looking for unique political content.  The special hit counter that displays your rank also displays your site’s unique visitors and your site’s average daily unique visitors.  The website is just now getting started, so join today to get a high ranking for your blog or website!

The Inquiring Mind: Check This Out!

Featured Blog Winners! We in the United States are very opinionated people.  We are also very biased depending on our location, family views, etc.  For example, being from the south, I have a predilection to cringe at the world liberal, as northerners do for the word Republican (Exaggerated metaphor, do not e-mail me about it.  I know every liberal doesn’t cringe over a Republican.).  So in order to truly get an unbiased opinion, I feel like we have to look elsewhere; meaning outside the U.S.  Well, The Inquiring Mind is good for just that.  This New Zealander describes himself as liberal on social issues, but right-leaning on economic, making him an even better source for an unbiased view.  The Inquiring Mind covers a plethora (Word of the Day) of issues, from goings about in New Zealand, to entertainment, to political issues spanning the globe; not to mention hilarious political cartoons.  I strongly recommend The Inquiring Mind be added to your daily blog visits!

Recovery Countdown: Check This Out

Featured Blog Winners! The 47% of Americans that didn’t vote for Barack Obama, plus some that voted just to jump on the bandwagon, are no doubt extremely upset with the direction our country is taking.  I, for one, am mortified at the rate we are spending money we don’t have, but I’m trying to remain positive.  If you are like me and the millions of Americans that didn’t vote for this false change, RecoveryCountdown.com is the site for you.  Recovery Countdown is an extremely useful resource that contains links, breaking news, RSS feeds to other websites and much, much more.  The people at Recovery Countdown describe the site perfectly by saying:

This site is an effort by a group of friends to offer a resource to all who are not happy with the direction our nation is headed, and are looking for information and resources that will help them to play an active role in shaping the outcome of the 2010 General Election.

And by the looks of things now, I can’t think of a better way to spend my efforts than trying to keep the big-spending, bailout hailing liberals out of power.  Join the fight today and visit Recovery Countdown!

To visit this site and start paving the way for the conservative revolution in 2010, click here.

What do you think of Recovery Countdown?  Are you as infuriated with the way things are going as I am?  Leave your comments below or e-mail us at theconservativejournal@gmail.com.  If you have a site or blog that you think deserves this award, e-mail us a link and it will be considered!

BrokenCountry.com: Check This Out!

Featured Blog Winners!Times are tough, but the best thing for us all is a little bit of humor to get through the day.  If this site isn’t supplying enough laughs for you (Haha) look no further than BrokenCountry.com!  I must be honest, the first time I visited the site I nearly died from laughter.  Some of the content (See, Octomom gets arm implants; among others) is priceless satirical gold.  But don’t think that BrokenCountry is all a joke.  The articles manage a great mixture of actual “news” infused with humor and satire, making them all truly delightful to read.  There are, however, a few that are obviously just for kicks.  I encourage everyone to visit the site today and prepare to laugh for minutes, hours, and possibly even days.

To visit BrokenCountry.com, click here.

What do you think of the site?  Did laugh quite as hard as I did when browsing the many articles?  Post your opinion here and let us hear what you think!
