TCJ Library Addition: “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” by Mitch Albom

I wanted to thank the reader that sent in a suggestion for me to read “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” and add it to the TCJ Library; it’s running low on books, I know.  I’m going to go buy it tomorrow or Monday and start reading and write a review when I finish.  From what I’ve read on the internet, it’s supposed to be really good.  Can’t wait to share with everyone my opinion of it!

Also, if you have a book or magazine suggestion you’d like to see added to the Library, please e-mail me at theconservativejournal@gmail.com or write a comment on the Library page.  As always, I’d love your suggestions!

Thanks for reading!

TCJ Library Addition: Vilified!

The first book that I’m adding into the TCJ Library Collection is Vilified! Red Meat for Conservatives from a Guy Who’s Got a lot of Beefs.  I’m still in the process of reading this one, but it’s great so far!  Conservative Author Corey Deitz covers it all somewhere in the book, from his opinion on Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, to PETA and Illegal Immigration.  Deitz does a great job conveying his opinions in a way that’s funny and entertaining, so you don’t have to worry about becoming uninterested.  It’s a hilarious yet insightful take on politics that’s definitely a must read!
When I finish reading the book, I plan to write a full review, but I just wanted to write a little blurb (is that a word) about it while I’m reading.

The Conservative Journal Library: Must Read Books & Magazines

I am please to announce the newest branch of The Conservative Journal, The Conservative Journal Library!  This one’s going to be slowly built up, but will work similarly to the Top Sites feature.  After I read a good book, magazine, or other publication, I will write up a post about it and put it on the “library” page.  If you want to suggest a book that you have read, please send me an e-mail at theconservativejournal@gmail.com with the name of the book, or write your suggestion as a comment on the “Library” page.  I will then look at the book, read the reviews, and decide whether or not it’s library worthy.  If it makes the cut (it will, more than likely) I will add it the page then, and read the full book and write a review when I finish.

My hope for this feature is that it becomes a good resource for writers that are trying to get the word out on the books that they have self-published, or published online through sites like Lulu.  Tomorrow I will introduce the first book to the library, so be on the look out!

Remember, if you have any suggestions for books you have seen or have written, please send a message with the title and author of the book to theconservativejournal@gmail.com, or write the suggestion in a comment on the “Library” page.

Thanks for visiting!

Rick
