  • In one of the closest polls in Conservative Journal history, 52% of voters disagree with me and think the Kids Choice Awards preaching of going green was great.  The remaining 48% think like me, that global warming is simply too controversial to be the central theme of a kids award show.  I compare to making evolution the theme of a kids award show.

  • Naturally, 88% of voters said the hypocrisy the KCS’s showed at their after party was horrible.  12% of voters, however, think it’s fine to talk about saving the planet like it’s the biggest deal in the world, and then haul thousands and thousands of paper plates, plastic cups, etc. to the dump.

March 31st- Who Was Your Favorite on American Idol?

  • For the second consecutive week, voters chose Adam Lambert as their favorite with 17%,  Kris Allen was in second with 15% of the vote, Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta tied with 13% (Danny had more actual votes though), Lil Rounds had 12% of the vote, Scott MacIntyre had 10% of the vote, Anoop Desai received 8% of the vote, Megan Joy received 6%, and Matt Giraud came in lats with 4% of the vote.  The remaining percentage said they don’t watch.  Unfortunately, we wrong and Megan Joy ended up leaving American Idol.  She will be missed.

April 2nd- Conference, No Poll.

April 3rd- What Do You Think of Bill O’Reilly’s Boycott of Sean Penn?

Posts from the Week

These posts were posted during the last week.  If you missed them the first time, be sure and check them out by clicking the article below.

Poll of the Day Results

March 21st- Who Do You Think Changed the Wikipedia Page?

  • We presented the evidence, and you voted to find the culprit.  In the end, the person you all thought is the conspirator of WikiGate was clear.  And that person is………. Joy Behar!  Joy was my pick also, as the evidence against her was compelling.  Here are the details:  Joy Behar had 35% of the vote, Michael Moore had 19% of the vote, Nancy Pelosi had 17% of the vote, Barney Frank had 15% of the vote, and Al Gore had 14% of the vote.

March 22nd- What Do You Think of the 2012 Poll Results?

  • In a vote that remained close all week, readers of The Conservative Journal sided with the poll that predicted Barack Obama would beat Sarah Palin if they faced off in 2012.  42% of our readers think that the results were accurate, while 39% think Sarah Palin could take Barack down.  The remaining 19% don’t know.

March 23rd- What Do You Think of Charlie Rangel?

  • Looks like I’m in good company around here as a Charlie Rangel hater, as 81% of readers of the site voted that Charlie Rangel has got to go.  A mere 5% voted everyone should just back off, and the remaining 14% don’t care enough to form an opinion.

March 24th- What Do You Think of Meghan McCain’s Interview?

  • Looks like there isn’t much Meghan love here at The Conservative Journal, as 38% of our readers don’t care enough about her to read the recap of her Larry King interview, or to watch it back online.  34% of our readers thought it was horrible and boring, while the remaining 28% loved the interivew.

March 25th- Who Was Your Favorite on American Idol?

  • For our inaugural “No Politics Tuesday” day, we asked who our readers thought was the best on American Idol.  Our readers chose Adam Lambert as the best with 20% of the vote.  The remaining contestants stacked up like this: Allison Iraheta received 16%, Danny Gokey received 12%, Lil Rounds received 9%, Kris Allen received 8%, Anoop Desai received 7%, Megan Joy received 5%, Matt Giraud received 4%, Scott MacIntyre recieved 3%, and Michael Sarver recieved 1%.  The remaining 14% of readers don’t watch.  It’s also worth noting that our readers not only predicted the bottom 3 accurately, but predicted who was going home as well.

March 26th- Did Watch Obama’s Press Conference?

  • 53% of Conservative Journal readers watched the press conference, but fell asleep at some point through the itnerview, 24% of readers didn’t watch because they’d rather have been watching The Wheel of Fortune, 18% couldn’t work it into their schedule, and a mere 6% watched it and enjoyed it.

March 27th- No Poll

This past week brought many additions to The Conservative Journal, including:

  • The DUmmies Exposed Series, which highlights the crap that goes on at Democratic Underground, as well as other liberal websites.
  • Mail Bag, which highlights e-mails and comments worth a second look.
  • The presence of The Conservative Journal on many different blog ranking sites, all of which can be found on the top of the right sidebar.  This week, The Conservative Journal worked it’s way into the Top 10 of several of the ranking sites during the heat of the Meghan McCain saga.  I guess we reported on it the best here? 🙂
  • The WikiGate Project, which is aimed to find the conspirator of the campaign to rid Barack’s Wikipedia entry of anything not deemed 100% good.

Poll of the Day Results

Although the results are in, the polls aren’t closed; you can click on the title of the poll and cast your late ballot!

March 14th- Are You Liberal or Conservative?

  • This could be the most obvious poll that will ever be on the site, but here are the results:  77% of readers of The Conservative Journal are more conservative, while 23% identify more with liberal viewpoints.  To those 23% in the minority:  I’m glad you here!  Rally some more of liberal friends so we get some comment debates going!  Seriously though, thank you to all that voted and read The Conservative Journal!

March 15th- Whose Side of the Fued Are You On?

  • This results of this poll are a lot closer than I expected:  When asked whose side Conservative Journal readers were (Either Jim Cramer or Jon Stewart) on in their little feud, 53% sided with Jon Stewart, and 39% sided with Jim Cramer; with the remaining  8% having no opinion.  I voted for Jim Cramer because I think his show is funnier, but I wasn’t expecting many to vote for him.  Guess everyone agrees?

March 16th- Internet problems prevented a poll on this day.

March 17th- What Do You Think About Laura Ingraham’s Comments?

  • In this poll, 63% thought that Laura Ingraham crossed the line with her “plus-sized model” comment to Meghan McCain, 23% think America needs to lighten up, and the remaining 14% don’t care about either one of them enough to form an opinion.  Once again, on this one I went with Laura Ingraham crossing the line initially, though after hearing the full context of the comments I don’t think they were that bad.

March 18th- What Are Your Views on Abortion?

  • On this random issue, the vote was almost split exactly as the “Liberal or Conservative?” poll, with 74% siding with the more conservative “Pro-life” option, and the remaining 26% going with the generally liberal choice of “Pro-choice”.  Of course, I went “Pro-life” on this one.

March 19th- Do You Support Gay Marriage?

  • Looks like our readers are a little more moderate on this one:  61% voted against gay marriage, with the remaining 39% voting in favor of gay marriage.  Of course, I voted against.

March 20th- What Do You Think of Barack’s Special Olympics Comments?

  • We posted this before news of his apology, and 74% of those polled said that B.O. needed to apologize for his remarks, with the remaining 26% thinking that America needs to lighten up and laugh.  While I did vote that B.O. needed to apologize (glad he did do that), I generally side with America needing to lighten up.  For someone that campaigned on a platform of hope, change, and equality this was a low blow.
