As her Miss USA gay marriage debacle finally seems to be winding down, Miss California Carrie Prejean has been offered and has accepted a spot to guest host ‘Fox and Friends’ on May 27th for the 6 AM to 7 AM time slot. She’s subbing for 1989 Miss America, Gretchen Carlson.
I think this is certainly a great oppurtunity for Ms. Prejean. She certainly has the talent to do a great job. I have to say, I’m guilty of accepting the air-headed stereotype of beauty pageant girls; however, Carrie is not at all that, but very intelligent and she will do a great job on ‘Fox and Friends’. I sucked it up and watched Hannity (He’s the only FOX News anchor I can’t handle, besides Geraldo of course. But no one likes him.) the other day to see his interview with her and she did a great job. She seems like a really intelligent young lady, and I’m glad this oppurtunity presented itself. Hopefully this will lead to more for Ms. Prejean!

38% agree with me in saying that coverage is getting ridiculous, 28% don’t really care if they talk about it or not, 24% think it’s great to hear about their personal lives, and the remaining 10% didn’t he got a dog. I wonder what rock they’ve been living under?
Every week so far, Adam Lambert has taken top honors as your favorite American Idol contestant. This week, however, he passes the crown on to Kris Allen, who received 26% of the vote. Adam Lambert was close, though, with 25% of the vote. The rest of the idols stacked up as follows: Matt Giraud received 15%, Allison Iraheta received 13%, Danny Gokey received 8% of the vote, Anoop Desai received 4% of the vote, and Lil Rounds came in last with 1%. The remaining 7% dont’ watch. Again this week, the voters predicted the bottom two, who both left in a double elimination.

I have to say that I don’t think the question was fair. It was asked by a gay gossip blogger, who was clearly not thrilled when she said she believed marriage was between a man and a woman. He then gave Carrie a zero for her answer, which no doubt played a large part in her losing the competition. Do you think this is fair? Vote below in today’s poll of the day!
I am pleased to announce that California’s Carrie Prejean is the latest recipient of The Conservative Journal Seal of Approval!
Ms. Prejean spoke out with her conservative beliefs even though she knew they would be unpopular with gay judge Perez Hilton, which is something not everyone would do. Not only does she win this award for standing up for what she believes in, but also for how she said it. She wasn’t rude or condescending, and handled herself very well on the Miss USA stage when answering the question. The fact that this question more than likely cost her the competition is quite upsetting, but I am still proud of Ms. Prejean for standing up for conservative values and not wavering from what she has known her whole life. If only more people were like her!

In case you missed Miss California speaking out against gay marriage when she was asked if the U.S. should legalize gay marriage across the board, here is the video for you to watch below.
I applaud Miss California, and if it’s any consolation, tomorrow I plan to award her with “The Conservative Journal Seal of Approval” tomorrow. Not quite as big of a deal as “Miss USA”, but it’ll do.
