TCJ Honorary Plaque of Fail: FreeCreditReport.com

Apparently I’m the last one to figure this out, but that’s the norm these days.

NEWSFLASH:

FreeCreditReport.com is not free.  In fact it costs $15 a month.  The company behind the service is now forced to alter there catchy commericals due to the recent crackdown on the credit card and credit industries.  Suppliers of these “free” services now have to inlcude “This is not the free credit report provided for by Federal law” in all tv and radio advertisements.  They must also now inform consumers that the only free credit report service is AnnualCreditReport.com.

I’ve never been in search of a credit report service, but it’s a real shame that people didn’t do further investigating when looking for a free report.  If they hadn’t been drawn in by FreeCreditReport.com’s catchy jingles, they could have easily found the free alternative.  So for catchy jingles, FreeCreditReport.com gets a thumbs up.  But for scamming consumers out of millions, two big thumbs down.

FreeCreditReport.com, The Conservative Journal honors you with the “Honorary Plaque of Fail” because you’re going to have a heck of time developing a well written jingle that includes “15 Dollar a Month credit report dot com” and “This is not the free credit report provided for by Federal law”.  Best of luck.

What do you think of this services trickery?  How long have you known about this?  Longer than I have, I assure you.  Leave your comments below or send an e-mail to theconservativejournal@gmail.com.  Don’t forget to bookmark The Conservative Journal and sign up for the RSS Feed and the daily e-mail newsletter.

If you missed the story, you can read the full coverage by clicking here.

Joe Biden recently spewed some top secret information regarding the location of the Vice President’s secret hideout in the event of a national crisis.  What do you think of this latest gaffe?  Sound off below in the poll of the day!

TCJ Honorary Plaque of Fail: Joe”I Have A Top Secret Bunker In My Basement!” Biden

Joe Biden swapping secrets with his waitor at dinner last week.

Joe Biden swapping secrets with his waitor at dinner last week.

Man, that Joe Biden is a card.  He just can’t seem to get it right, can he?  Joe’s been known for his gaffes over the years; in fact, there are several lists of them circulating around the interweb.  And while I usually think they are hilarious and innocent, this one’s got me a little worried about ole Joel.

Apparently, Joe told a group of friends he was having dinner with about the bunker, which held former Vice President Dick Cheney during and after 9/11.  The bunker is supposed to be top secret to ensure the safety of the VP should anything happen to the president.  Well of course, Joe couldn’t handle a little secret and now the world knows where he’ll be if the U.S. should face a 9/11-like attack in the future.  If his blunder results in the relocation of the secret hideout, it’ll be a real shame considering that in 2002 the bunker was apparently fixed up with the latest epuipment to sustain the VP and his staff after officials saw that it was not fully prepared to handle a crisis situation like 9/11.  Of course, Barack was not at all happy about this incident.  I don’t agree with anything he says, but at least he’s got enough sense not to leak top secret information.

Surely Joe can learn to keep his mouth shut before he leaks something even MORE secret than TOP secret.  But look on the bright side: Unless the people running top secret government stuff have learned their lessons, we can sit tight until Joe is briefed on the happenings at Area 51!  We’re surely in for a treat when he spills that.  And until then, I am honored to present Vice President Joe Biden with The Conservative Journal Honorary Plaque of Fail.

I feel really immature for posting this and laughing it so much, but I have to.  It’s simply too funny not to share.  Some will like it, some will not.  Watch the food critic get a little tongue tied below:

DUmmies Exposed: Bipartisanship Means Follow Barack

Democratic DUmmies from the DUmp

I found this in the DUmmy thread over at Conservative Underground.  In the eyes of this moonbat, bipartisanship cooperation means meeting the Democrats “halfway” at 70-30, meaning 70% what the Dems want and 30% what Republicans want.  When people seriously think that is the case, there is real problem.  Here is the original post, though vulgarities have been edited for this site:

The Republicans need to understand what bipartisanship means in the Age of Obama.
Edited on Mon Apr-27-09 05:29 PM by Drunken Irishman
It’s not the middle. The American people have rebuked the Republican ideology in two elections now and don’t want to go back to it for the foreseeable future. So when Eric Cantor and others talk about bipartisanship, they must realize the ideological shift that accompanied this country with the election of the Democrats in 2006 and Pres. Obama in 2008.

That means bipartisanship begins left of center. Obama’s stimuls is what the American people voted for, not the same old failed policies of the Bush era. If they want to compromise with Pres. Obama, they have got to realize that compromise comes on his terms, not theirs. That’s what the American people want and that’s what they’re going to get, no matter how much Republicans complain.

So sorry, Mr. Cantor, bipartisanship means you actually have to meet the President at no worse than 70-30, because that’s the political climate facing this country. If you can’t accept that, then maybe you should find out why the American people continue to reject Republican ideals and fix it to the point where you can get back into power.

And if you can’t do that, then just sit down and shut the f*** up.

Here’s another “open-minded” liberal:

1. They have two options
1. Negotiate from a position of weakness and get whatever they can scratch out
2. Be shut out of the process altogether.

That’s one of my favorite hypocracies fromt he left; that they are the “open-minded” political.  Their open-mindedness stops at the party line.  Here’s yet another:

4. And that’s why the Republicans are out of power.
They’re tone deaf, I swear.

Americans have buried Reagan and all he stood for with the election of Barack Obama.

Maybe that’s it. Maybe they can’t get over that Obama killed their hero.

haha, I love it!

That would make more sense if the election results were split 70/30, but thankfully they were not.  Bipartisan cooperation is an equal effort on both sides, or at least something a lot closer than 70/30.  I’m sure that in a few years when Republicans are back in power as the Democrats are now these people’s views will be much, much different.

Video of the Day: More Fun Gaffe’s Courtesy of Barack

Oh man, I just love when Barack treats us to some great humor!  It is a recession you know, so this free entertainment is much appreciated.  The latest little gaffe is a really doozy.  I like how he exerts zero effort in trying to cover it.  That either shows that he doesn’t care at all, or he had no idea what he was talking about at the time.  Either one is very upsetting.  Watch the gaffe below:

Video of the Day: Awwwwkward

I saw this at Pundit Pawn, so I decided to bring it over here.  This further substantiates the fact that the Chosen One doesn’t actually form his own opinion, or know how to think for himself.  Watch what happens after a slight malfunction from his little buddy (teleprompter).

Mail Bag: A Vast Array of Textual Remarks

To the elitist snob that likes to e-mail me: Shouldnt you be eating your caviar? Its going to sour.

To the elitist snob that likes to e-mail me: Shouldn't you be eating your caviar? It's going to sour.

Like the title?  I’m just trying to please the elitist snob that sent me an e-mail stating my vocabulary was on par with a grade schooler.  Thankfully, I don’t write this blog to try and sound like a graduate of an Ivey League school, nor do I think it’s necessary to do so.  The person who e-mailed the comment, who wished to remained unnamed, must be drawn to Obama for his use of flowery vocabulary alone, as their is zero substance to his words.  However, I wonder what said poster thought about Obama’s press conference?  It didn’t contain that many “million dollar words”.  Surely they had the same disdain?  Negative.

I will now step down from my soapbox and post some “worthy” comments from the mail box and the website.  Here are the highlights:

New reader Lisa Krempasky, whose blog can be found here, has left several entertianing comments:

On the Michael Moore WikiGate article, Lisa had this to say:

I’m more interested in the day when Moore will be known as inmate 73027963.

Even most of his looney buddies are distancing themselves from him

And on “More From the World of Meghan“, she said this about her moderateness:

Progressive republican…good one.

I’m also very glad for her depth of economic analysis in her affirmation that the president is taking the economy serious. I feel much better now.

Trust us, Lisa, we feel better too!

Neoavatara, whose blog can be found here, said this about Charlie Rangel:

Rangel is an embarrassment. The Democrats are currently protecting him, which makes it even worse. It is silly, really, because if Rangel left, his district is a safe Democratic seat. The Democrats are making the same mistake Republicans did: If someone does something wrong, don’t protect them. People should be responsible for their actions.

Neoavatara also had this to say about Barack reading this blog:

I think the problem is that Obama’s teleprompter needs to read your site…otherwise there is no way you will get an apology.

I must agree with you there.  Maybe I can go submit it to his teleprompter’s blog, which can be found here.  That blog is hilarious, by the way.

And finally, I’d like to just direct everyone to the last Mail Bag post, where a nice discussion over Barack’s “Special Olympics” gaffe is located.  It’s a great little discussion that everyone should take part in.

What do you think?  Which post by a user is your favorite?  Leave your comments below or e-mail us at theconservativejournal@gmail.com and you could end up on a post just like this one!

Thanks for reading!

Suspect #3: Al Gore

Al Gore reminding everyone he invented this internet.

Al Gore reminding everyone he invented this internet.

Al Gore is liberal enough to want the the Golden Boy to exist blemish-free, but he doesn’t have as much of a relationship with Barack as some of the other suspects.  Still, his liberalness could very well have been a motive behind changing the entry.  Look at the data below and decide for youself:

The Evidence:

Al is a tech savvy guy.  He’s got to know how to adjust his solar panels that he doesn’t really have to just the right wattage output to run his trillion square-foot Tennessee home.  So that in itself gives him the immediate upper-hand when compared to Pelosi and Frank.  Also, Al is used to having to swoop in and edit something online in order to save face.  Just look at all those times his global warming numbers were proven false; he quickly pulled a ‘select all’,  ‘delete’, ‘paste’ numerous times and had his global warming bull crap numbers changed to another set that we could all try and disprove.  Also worth noting, Al Gore invented the internet.

However…

Al doesn’t have as close ties with B.O. as most suspects.  Though they have similar political stances, they aren’t as close of friends and their paths don’t meet quite as much.  Also, Al is no doubt still bitter that his presidential prospects were cut short in 2000, and probably views Barack like the rest of us (an uninformed little punk) regardless of political view similarity.

Al Gore could be the dark horse in the race to find the conspirator of WikiGate.  He is not really a suspect in most people’s eyes, which could be one of the reasons he felt safe committing the act.  Don’t forget to check-in in the next few days to vote for who you think is behind this scandal.

Thanks for participating!
