I’m back today! I had a great trip to see the family for Memorial Day weekend. I hope every one had a great holiday as well and is enjoying what is more than likely your first day back at work after a long weekend. Woo.
William W. Dixon was a U.S. Representative for Montana for 2 years between March, 1891, and March, 1893. Dixon was originally from Brooklyn, New York, though he left there at a young age and never returned. When Dixon was old enough, he attended law school Keokuk, Iowa, and was admitted to the bar in 1858. He then moved to Tennessee in 1860, then to Arkansas a few short months later. He then moved to California for a very short time before moving to Nevada for a little over 3 years. In 1866 he moved to Helena Montana, where he resided until 1879. He then temporarily moved to Black Hills, but returned to Montana in 1881 and practiced law in Butte. In 1891 he was elected as a Democrat to serve in Congress. In 1893, however, he failed to be re-elected. He then practiced law until retiring to Los Angeles, California, where he lived until his death in 1910. Even after his death Dixon couldn’t stay settled. His casket was moved 3 times after his death.

The city of New York and the entire United States ask that you please refrain from joy riding around in Air Force One at only hundreds of feet of above the ground. We realize that we didn’t have any pictures of you in flying past The Statue of Liberty or Trump Towers, but please. At least tie a banner to the back of the plan that says, “GOOD MORNING NEW YORK! IT’S B.O. UP IN THIS PLANE”, or something to that effect. We’ve even included a reference for you for the next time you want to take scenic shots of Manhattan:
Barack, we expect to see this next time. Thank you.
Anything less than that will be a disappointment.
The United States, excluding Frank-Pelosi-Reid.
For Barack and crew’s display of ignorance we award them with the “Honorary Plaque of Fail”, which even includes a place in the Hall of Fame! This award is extra ironic because Barack was the first recipient of the “TCJ Seal of Approval” back when he took out those pirates in an efficient manner. Well, in accordance to the law of gravity, what comes up must come down, and Barack’s status as upstanding member of society did just (Intentional exaggeration. Don’t e-mail me about it.) that when he approved the flight of the Boeing 747 that flew low through the skies of Manhattan just so the White House Gift Shop could update its Statue of Liberty post card section. The trip not only horrified many New Yorkers, but it cost (and wasted) millions of tax payer dollars. And while “millions” of dollars is nothing in the grand scheme of the government budget, it’s the principal of the matter. And for that, Barack and the gang, we tip our DUNCE caps to you.
What do you think of the flight through Manhattan? Leave your comments below or send an e-mail to email@example.com!
When I made the list of potential candidates for 2012, Rudy Giuliani was not included because I was sure he had no interest in running again. I mean come on, the guy had to drop out of the race near the very beginning after his strategy proved to be a flop, so I thought it was safe to not include him in the list. However, this past Sunday, Rudy left the options open for a run for Governor of New York, as well as a second presidential bid in 2012. Following a speech in Dubai, Rudy said, “No one knows whether you’ll do something again until you come to the point of: ‘Is it possible to do it again? Would you have a chance of winning?’ I mean those are just things you can’t evaluate right now.”
I think he should go for it again. He’s got a good chance if he works at it, and he ranks in the top 4 or 5 of my personal favorite contenders. So I’d be pleased. However, If he wants the nomination he will have to come at it with a different strategy than this past attempt. He put all his eggs in one basket and when that basket fell they all broke and he had to drop out (Please excuse the cliche, Haha). The 2012 election is going to hinge quite a bit on how Barack does and how many people he lets down along the way. If he manages to do well, then our selection of Republican candidate will be far different than if he flops. Anyway, if he does go for it and fails, he should serve on the cabinet should the Republican nominee win. I think he’s a very smart guy and is very good at what he does. I’m sure he’d be the top choice for Attorney General.
So now it’s time to hear from you! Vote in the poll below, leave a comment, or even send off a good e-mail!
